These are sent out three times a year and are full of information about training courses, special events
taking place and what the committee does on your behalf.
Term time Drop In for members:
Takes place Tuesday mornings 9:30-11:15 at the Cricket Club in Fleet. This gives
the children an opportunity to play with other children, do a craft activity, join
in at song time etc. Childminders can meet fellow childminders at the Drop In and
have the support of others for example, support childminders and development support
workers from the NCMA. A small fee of £2.50 per childminder (not per child) to cover
hall hire, drinks, snacks and craft items.
Study Evenings:
Study evenings take place for childminders who would like to update their skills and knowledge. Please see training programme.
Group Membership of National Childminding Association and Hart Childminding Association:
The NCMA offers a discount on membership if you purchase your local group membership through them. Newly Registered Childminders get their first year’s membership of NCMA in their start up pack,so will not benefit for the discount until their second year. If you are an existing NCMA member and wish to take advantage of this offer, please pay your local group fee through the National Childminding Association.

Vacancy Scheme:
This brings together parents requiring childcare and Registered Childminders with vacancies. Childminder’s telephone numbers are given to parents looking for childcare. Details of all enquiries are logged in the ‘Vacancy book’, which is available for all to see at the weekly drop in.
Please keep the vacancy co-coordinator updated with regard to your vacancies.
Social Functions:
There are social functions throughout the year for you to meet fellow childminders.
